i have an i7 4790k, 16gb ddr3 ram, a 240gb ssd and a H97m pro 4 motherboard from asrock
I didn't say there was anything wrong with his CPU, I was basically pointing out that if he were to upgrade his GPU, then that would likely be the last upgrade that system would get before needing a complete rebuild. Since the card he has is adequate, why not just start with the rebuild, and have room to upgrade later and have a newer system sooner and for longer. There's nothing wrong with his current CPU, but thinking about down the line I would think he would be happier with a new build, with a better price on an upgraded GPU in a couple months, than getting that new GPU now for more money and having to stick with that system only to do the rebuild anyway later and stick that GPU right in it. Make sense?
