As for projectile invalid - it's been a problem for more than three entire years. Don't count on it ever going away. This is what the company gets for cutting every financial corner imaginable while using non-RFC compliant obsolete abandonware at the core of their game.
RakNet has been retired and obsoleted abandonware for years. Other developers who started buiding their games around it have transitioned this software out of their game developments because of it - except Facepunch Studios because they like to be cheap and take everything for free while making money hand over fist.
That's only a handful of the dump truck loads of problems Rust has too. Open the hood and look at what's going on. Rust is an alpha game too as was admitted by the developers last year when the game was to come out of Early Access. It's listed fraudulently on Steam as being a complete release retail game when in actuality it's not full release at all. They have yet to retract their statement.Want sources? Just ask.
Need an example of where Rust is headed? Go take a look at the Chunks store page. Pay attention to release dates and completion date lies in the developer description. Note the other more than half a dozen cancelled and incomplete projects this company has juggled over the years producing no complete game since 2004. Even their 2004 release was a bug infested train wreck and Facewound didn't even get completed. They wasted five entire years (2003-2008) on that 2D side scroll game to not even bother finishing it. Expect no different with Rust. They cheaped out on Rust's development and it shows.
