Minicopter garage - how to?

Various sources indicate that the minicopter decay can be paused by putting it inside a garage / building.

How, for crying out loud? :0)

All doors seem to be a maximum of one block wide, but the copter width is 2 blocks.
Or is a roof ontop of it enough? Does it not have to be fully enclosed?

It doesn’t have to be fully enclosed, just the heli needs to be under the roof tiles so you can build a 3x3x2 with one wall remove and it won’t decay

Does it have to be a roof block, or does a ceiling block do as well?

It can be a floor block too. I just relized I said roof. Both work

it just does? I have driven a minicopter through a garage door.

Done some testing around it, and here's what I found out:

Summary:

• basic 2 x 1 x 1 structure is enough
  
• needs top cover, but not required to be a roof
  
• does not need to be enclosed with walls

did they remove this? My mini is decaying even i put it on the roof under a roof

Yes and no.
Last time I checked, they made the chopper decay at half the rate when it's sheltered.
