How do I open supply drop crates?

By supply drop, do you mean the crates dropped by the airplanes or the military transport helicopter? Airdrops can only be looted when they are on the ground, chinook crates a different. You can only open them after prompting the hack key and waiting the allotted time on the laptop (this Varys from server to server but generally lasts 15 minutes by default.) note also shooting, hitting or throwing anything at the laptop will add an extra 15 seconds to the unlock timer
