Cross platform for ps4 and Pc

No. Rust is only PC and Mac platform supported. Mac support is very poor with this company.

Actually, Rust IS coming to PS4 and XboxOne in 2020. It's still not confirmed if they will be cross platform with each other or with PC yet.

If it goes to console expect disaster. This game is already a nightmare on PC I couldn't imagine a console port. Oh what a mess of a nightmare it will be. These guys can't even get a PC version of the game working top shape. They abandoned Linux support because it was too hard. You really think a console port is going to be amazing? Ha! I laugh.

It actually makes me sad that when rust comes out to console thousands of people will buy it, with excitement after waiting many years watching Rust YouTube videos and always wanted to play the game, to finally buy it, then they will have to suffer the non stop crashing and bad optimization. My specifications are like 3x better than an original Xbox One or PS4 and the game runs like ♥♥♥♥. I just simply can't imagine how bad it will perform on consoles. Facepunchstudios needs to have mercy on those poor soles.

You got remember Linux doesn't really support gaming in general. Unlike PS4 and Xbox which literally are built and have a optimized operating system for specialized for gaming. And I have a gaming pc around only 100 dollars more than a console and runs rust around 40-60 fps with no freezing. I am really good a Rust and it does put in disadvantage to some players (RX 560 2g). And it has ddr3 ram... I'm sure they could optimize the game or even just make the player count and map smaller just for console. I really do hope there will be cross platform.

After years of Borg hating the Game and announcing disasters here and there, the Game is still growing in numbers and getting updates, now the console version coming in 2020 is just another prove of success...
But i have tbh and say i dont expect good graphics or high frame rate in consoles

It won't run at all. The resolution is probably gonna be extremely low, and there will be so much stutters and lag. If just cause 3 can't even run on Xbox one and PS4 what makes anyone think rust can? If you have ever played rust before, you know how extremely unoptimized it's gonna be. Here's what I think will happen. They release rust on consoles, people buy it, it non stop crashes and it's unplayable, people demand a refund, facepunchstudios gets sued, they remove it from console. Just another hot mess everyone will have to deal with. Good job facepunchstudios.

I am guessing they will need to build the game again from the ground up for the most part.

Also FP said people will be able to rent servers, so who knows how this will work.

I would also think it will be different then PC Rust - smaller maps. Maybe more action less grind, who knows.

If you look at how little money and effort they spend to fix facepunchstudios, I wouldn't jump to conclusions saying that they would build it ground up. That definitely will not happen because it costs money, facepunchstudios obviously doesn't like to spend money on something that doesn't benifit their individual desires.

I wasn't hating on facepunch, I was stating what would most likely happen based on what usually happens with facepunchstudios. I am using previous evidence to support my claim. That's not hating in any way and apparently your definition of hating is saying some of the issues with the game and the company and letting others know before they buy. Apparently you don't know what "hating" means but you do you.
