Soundboards in Rust

With the new Steam menu, how are you supposed to set your ingame sound input to something other than your microphone? For example, I used Voicemeeter Banana to play soundboards and music in Rust by going to Steam Settings > Voice > changing from my mic to Voicemeeter Out. I can't do that anymore. You can change voice in the Friends menu, but it doesn't seem to affect ingame like the previous menu did. Any help?

I used to use voicemeeter banana a lot with a soundboard and never once had to touch steam settings to get my soundboard to play through my mic. I'm not sure how your going about setting yours up but it sounds to me like your doing it the hard way. Soundboards are fun specially when kids get salty over it rofl. Good luck getting it going

It isn't necessary, but it allows me to set whether I hear the sounds through my headset or my speakers separately from game sounds. Now I can't do that.
