Could have mentioned that in the OP instead of wasting our time. It doesn't matter if it's an "official server" or not - unless the server is running with EAC disabled it makes no difference. And even it was, the macro (working or not) would be detected later when you joined an EAC enabled server, whether you were using it or not.

But the fact I tried to eliminate the Y+ recoil from picking a foundation with a timer for broken picks via mouse macro on a building server where PvP damage is null but still got a 4k hour account banned after being asleep for 9hrs?

Please understand. I am a RUST addict and this may be the greatest thing that ever happened to me. I had 3k hours in 7mo. Do the math.

I am still trying to get the message out. If you have ANY macro programmed through logitech gaming software, EAC will ban you.

I have multiple macros in the exact same program, they don't ban any macro, only the ones that give you an in game advantage

Look I have a Logitech G910 keyboard and a Logitech G203 Prodigy mouse. To every "G" macro key on my keyboard I have macro functions bound for in Windows. Some of them very simple like open Outlook for email, lock PC, or open browser for weather forecast. I also have one more advanced macro that when I press it, it opens my Norton anti virus and launches a quick scan.

While playing Rust I have already pressed that macro key (which is close to my W key on my AZERTY layout keyboard, and yes I have deformed fingers) a couple times actually launching my Norton quick scan macro in-game (yes this is very annoying lol) and I did not get banned anywhere.

I was actually thinking about using the "multiple key bind keyboard macro" from the Logitech software to be able to pickaxe soft sided stone and metal walls while being AFK so it automatically switches to the next pickaxe in your hotbar when the current pickaxe breaks. Having read about various players being banned by using Logitech Gaming Software keyboard / mouse macros or Razer Synapse i'm not going to push my luck and stay away from these more advanced keyboard macros.

Sucks of course that Logitech integrates macro functionality on their gaming keyboards and mice and you can not use them without the guarantee you will not be banned. But people intentionally using these kind of software to do naughty stuff and make some kind of advanced recoil macro mouse script and actually stay undetected would be way worse.

It would be cool if Facepunch / EAC would clearly state what is allowed with the macros and hotkeys that come on almost every modern day gaming keyboard or mouse. Then you know what is allowed and safe and which things you should not try if you don't want to get bamboozeled by the relentless banhammer.

Remember folks: If you commit a crime EAC will make sure you'll do the time!

Both of those statements says you tried to configure a no-recoil script for rust on a building server...


That alone just tells us that you actually tried to cheat, you were just trying it out first to see if you could get it to work on a building server and if it did work, you were gonna use it on a pvp server...

Well there is also Razer,Roccat,Steelseries and a whole lot of other different keyboard brands and softwares which let you set up macros, you just happened to use logitech and got banned for it when you tried to configure a no recoil script which in return would surely get you banned..


You just got caught for trying to cheat and trying to blame logitech for it..

Kids these days...., they think when they get caught it's someone else's fault.
But im still waiting for the day when people that try to blame their GPU, CPU or some other hardware that got them banned instead.

Yikes, I have a macro in Razer Synapse for fighting off animals in The Long Dark, better keep that profile off when I play EAC games, just in case.

However, you getting banned was pretty justified. I don't care if you were just "trying" a macro, you were still cheating.
