How do i remove an EAC Ban?

I own a rust server and someone whom i know is not a cheater got EAC banned today, as admin how do i go about lifting this?

Lol you can't do ♥♥♥♥, its an EAC Ban just because you own a server doesn't mean you can reverse bans. By the way, the ban wasn't a false positive.

Your getting confused you can not remove game bans, how ever as a server owner you can disable eac so he can play there, but that’s something I would not do is let the gates open for the cheaters ..... how do you know he is not a cheater?

I second this, but if you have good administrators who are active, not having EAC shouldn't be a problem.

Also if someone playing in your server notice that you have EAC disabled and there is a cheater playing ... Say goodbye to the pop

This is not true. We have and still do run games without EAC and it has not affected population at all becuase the administrators do their job. We don't need EAC. EAC is a sense of security companies and corporations have brainwashed the masses into trusting, thinking it's a requirement to keep cheaters at bay. Sorry, but that is just not reality. We don't need EAC. How do you think we all managed before these anti-cheat companies came into existence? We administrated hence the word 'administrator'. People seem to have forgotten the role of administrators in gaming networks.

I really like your point, the server i run is a small pop casual server for new players anyways, but we have 4 active admins (Myself included) Its nice to see someone stand up for us this way.

To remove someone's EAC ban on your server, make sure you're logged on as admin, open the console and type eac.removeban <username> . It may take a few tries to work so keep typing it until the ban is removed.

I wouldnt want to play on a server that allowed banned cheaters to play simply because the admin was friends with them. Thats pretty much a perfect example of a server i would refuse to put any time into. I dont know many ppl who would feel differently. Obviously, admins can do as they wish with their server, but if you do that without letting the rest of the players know, its pretty scummy and i would consider it admin abuse. Eac and the ban system exist for a reason. To allow the legit gamers to have at least some form of relief from, and the ability to identify, the cheating scum that need to inflate their egos with scripts. I honestly dont understand why anybody would have a problem with that.

I’m in agreement with both Bombs and Borg on this, a server with good active admins could run a server well without EAC however disabling EAC on your server because your “friend” had been caught cheating and you want him to play is not being a good admin.....so imo your server needs EAC cause it looks like he fooled you?

Or maybe they didn't cheat at all and EAC just generally sucks at what it does.

That and an admin cant do everything. I have over 1k hrs of admining a legacy server back in the day and i know firsthand, you cant be everywhere at once. You cant always tell the ppl with rly good aim and reflexes from the ppl who are smart and conservative with their toggling of aimbot. Its nearly impossible to catch or prove that a person has esp, unless they are super careless and make it obvious. I think good, active admins are a must, at least for me. I also, however, think EAC is a must as well. Both do a mediocre job by themselves, but together, thats the best form of anticheat a sever can have in this day and age imo.

Yes. Lets just throw out the anti cheat and go off of the honor system instead. Please tell us what servers you are running with this sort of mentality because i want to avoid them like the plague.
