Can guitar scripts get you banned?

Autohotkey no recoil scripts trigger automatic bans. I believe they are no diferent that guitar scripts since they just move your mouse. You will be banned and than noone is going to believe you saing it was just a guitar script.

Yes, you can use the guitar script. EAC isn't banning it becuase it does not advantage nor disadvantage the game for players.

Yeah, but at the same time it sucks. now people are going to door camp and spam the guitar scripts for hours. So, people won't only have to turn off their chat and voice chat to keep the toxicity out of their ears and eyes, but now the game sound will have to be muted because of guitar spam.

On a technicality, they are seentially allowing a cheat too which is pretty double standard for EAC to do claiming they don't bear with the cheaters, yet condone a guitar cheat claiming it doesn't give an unfair advantage.

I know, it seems really trivial, but it's moral principle of the matter that is in question. Lets say a person learns the guitar in the game and becomes very skillful with it. Then another person uses scripts to play better. Fair? No. Is it an unfair advantage? Technically yes.

This is how EAC is double standard and makes no sense. Essentially they're contradicting their own slogan by allowing things like this. If they're going to block scripts they should block all scripts that give any kind of advantage over someone not using scripts.

Everyone will just use scripts to play it and use it as a means to spam audio for hours until people get sick of it and just quit or rage, storm out there door not caring anymore and let their base be taken. The kids especially are going to do this, that I already know. Once it's widespread it will become very annoying. It's fresh though still and lots don't even know you can do it safely.

Ah well, that's my thoughts on it anyway.

yes but then again you would just pull a gun out, get your chain saw and shot the guy, then saw his body up to make low grade fuel with, and then use that low grade fuel to make flaming arrows to shoot the cheater with, i mean this is rust and i think cheating on that level can be fixed ingame without EAC bans

It could be a single person or it could be twenty people. We don't know how many could be waiting out there. This is the problem with allowing the script. One person spams the guitar and the twenty man zerg rushes in soon as the door opens. Run out there with your gun or chainsaw into a group like that and see how long you last. They will take it from you and then laugh in your face while flaming and trolling you. They might even just pick you up to give you hope and then shatter your dreams with a bullet to the head. Then they may rinse and repeat this over and over or try to push players to the point of logging off so that they can then go offline raid that base.

I know how Rust works. I have played and administrated way too long to not know these things.

An airlock means nothing against C4 or satchels. Explosives show no mercy. Whether a group can rush in or not, it's very easy to get past an airlock against people who can't defend themselves.

I thought we were talking about guitars... not c4. And how if a person has a script it will somehow make a person give up their base, even though im pretty sure you can annoy others with a guitar without a script... any chance you could stay remotely on topic?

How is running out of your house going to result in giving up your base if you have an airlock? Thats the point of having one. Why would you need such a simple thing explained to you? Not to mention, why would it matter if they use a script for the guitar or not? How would that make it more likely for you to need to run outside in your extremely unlikely scenario? Maybe try to be less snarky and more intelligent in your responses. It will help you look less like a douchebag.
