Rust
EASY ANTI CHEAT ERROR 30005
This error has been here since the update. Followed countless peoples advice and still getting the same error. I've verified and also deleted and reinstalled all easyanticheat files on my computer. Anybody else having the same problem since the update?

The log shows nothing from EAC. I might give up for today, hopefully they will fix it. Might try re-installing rust entirely. Thanks for your help!
Alright, cool. If you'd like some help again later feel free to contact me.

Does it do this when u start it up?

This usually does the trick.

1.) Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\drivers.
2.) Locate EasyAntiCheat.sys.
3.) Delete EasyAntiCheat.sys.
4.) Launch Rust. The deleted file will be created again.
5.) Play the game.

Hope that helps. Good luck.

I'm afraid I've tried that. I just tried to repair easyanticheat using the service setup and the issue it's giving me is "Copy File failed with 32"

Yes, this is the error message I get on startup of Rust.

Perhaps your anti-virus is flagging it as an untrusted action. Verify the file is actually being created or not? Generally when this happens it's associated to anti-virus being strict or permissinos being messed up.

I restarted PC and it worked :)

That;s exactly what I thought it might be. I paused my antivirus but it still wont let me create the file. Do you think that maybe pausing the anti virus isnt good enough? I use ESET internet security.

If I recall correctly, ESET uses a memory-resident scammer and when you pause the anti-virus, it doesn't completely disable it entirely. You have to disable realtime detection. Check your anti-virus logs to see if it's actually flagging that file. Maybe you have to whitelist EasyAntiCheat.sys.

I'm not quite sure how to view the anti-virus logs.

The log shows nothing from EAC. I might give up for today, hopefully they will fix it. Might try re-installing rust entirely. Thanks for your help!

This happened to me about 40 mins ago; Rust Configuration didn't appear when clicking Play in Steam Library and showed an error message instead which lead to an error related to Easy Anti Cheat.

Resolved it by restarting computer (recommended by pulse). I verified game cache before restarting.

I actually fixed it just now. There was a EAC in the steam folder that I wasnt aware of. I just fixed it from there. It's quite confusing as I had so many EAC files scattered around my C: drive. Thanks for the help though!
