1.) Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\drivers.
2.) Locate EasyAntiCheat.sys.
3.) Delete EasyAntiCheat.sys.
4.) Launch Rust. The deleted file will be created again.
5.) Play the game.
Hope that helps. Good luck.
I'm afraid I've tried that. I just tried to repair easyanticheat using the service setup and the issue it's giving me is "Copy File failed with 32"
Yes, this is the error message I get on startup of Rust.
That;s exactly what I thought it might be. I paused my antivirus but it still wont let me create the file. Do you think that maybe pausing the anti virus isnt good enough? I use ESET internet security.
I'm not quite sure how to view the anti-virus logs.
The log shows nothing from EAC. I might give up for today, hopefully they will fix it. Might try re-installing rust entirely. Thanks for your help!
Resolved it by restarting computer (recommended by pulse). I verified game cache before restarting.
I actually fixed it just now. There was a EAC in the steam folder that I wasnt aware of. I just fixed it from there. It's quite confusing as I had so many EAC files scattered around my C: drive. Thanks for the help though!
