M249 vs. M2

PLEASE for the love of God, help me correct this lazy, misinformed community about the difference between the M2 Browning .50 caliber machine gun and the M249 Squad Automatic Weapon (a.k.a. "SAW"). If you people are so freaking lazy to say 249, then just say SAW! Stop calling the gun something completely incorrect and what it's NOT.

The "M2 fires a .50 caliber bullet; where as, the M249 fires a 5.56. COMPLETELY different people. RUST doesn't NOT have a .50 cal in the game!!!!!!!!!!!!! Donkey punch anyboby in the throat that you hear calling the M249 the bloddy M2!

how about the AK74 ??? which everyone calls an AK47... no one calls the 101 a 47... they always mistake it with an AR15 because they are both black composites and fire the same rounds :P (Nato 5.56x45)

or hell why not the AK105 (5.45x39), or the AK(74)M (7.62),.. or the AK103.. or the AN94 ... or the G11... lol... the game doesn't need more guns.. it needs better devs :P

But you have already made false statements on this very thread. You cant take the high ground now. Shoulda just owned up to your own actions. At least that would have been somewhat respectable. Also, you never answered my question. Did gary at least fire you personally or did you even rate that?

I honestly don't care too much because the developers don't know too much about the things they're creating in the first place and the community is on the same mental wave length. The point of the discussion people have forgotten is that an M2 is not an M249. It's just a discussion that's turned into a flame war and political correct insult fest. This is one of many, many reasons why the Rust community is shrinking and nobody wants much to do with this game anymore.
