Rust wont run good on my computer that exceeds the required specs
I have an RTX 2080
I7 8750H 2.20 GHz running at 3.9 GHz
16GB DDR4 RAM
70C average temp while gaming so no throttling
I only get about 62 average FPS when in a good area and 52 FPS while running around. I play Fantastic settings with some things turned down at 1080p. I have tried many things online but they have not done much to work. I need help please.

Is Rust installed on a SSD?
If not, get one and move Rust over to it. It works wonders.

I belive the recommended ammount of RAM is like 4-8 GB so thats clearly not the issue. I also have no background services running other than discord

guys i have i5 8300h and 1050 4gb, and 8gb RAM but my rust cant run in normal fps, its look like lagg can u help me guys?

Minimum requirement is 10gb ram , so Ahmedibrhm , you lack ram to run normal fps for rust .

Has for OP i have a 1060 and i get 90fps on fantastic .. the game is weird , should just be happy you at least get 50-60fps(which is the norm) . Sadly i have nothing to suggest to you outside of what you could find easely on the net(update driver , clean disk, etc(basic stuff))

That's really good performance for a laptop cpu ram and gpu all considered, due to temperatures.

You could turn down the settings tbh if your on fansatic

Even if i turn down the settings to ABSOLUTE ZERO I gain maybe 1-2 FPS. This game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥ i bought a new lpatop because of it and i still cant play it right

So the CPU is at 70C? What about the GPU temperature? There's only so many performance tweaks you can do, and usually the newer GPUs start reducing performance once they hit a certain temperature range if they respond correctly.

You're also only trying to play on 60Hz correct?

Cant it be that servers dont get more then 62fps?

Nope minimum ram needed to run rust is now 10gb but 16 is preferred

Yes i have a 144Gz screen but im running it 60Hz because of my framerate. Also both my CPU and GPU say around 60C-80C during intense gaming for like 3-6 hours a day. So thermals aren't an issue. What the tweaking you were talking about though?

I have 15.5 GB of free ram always reserved for gaming. So RAM is not an issue.
