Is 12 GB ram enough

I can buy used 8 gb for 30€ would that be worth it overall not just for rust? Or should I keep as it is
I get some stuttering here and there playing with GTX 1060 and i7 2600k

Store page says 10gb ram min but the more the better. I'm 16gb ram and it runs great

yet i have seen so many posts made by people saying they have 8gb ram and it takes them over an hour to load into a server

Loading time has little or nothing to do with RAM. If you have a SSD it'll load relatively quickly. If you have a spinning HDD it'll take forever.

-high
-maxMem=8192
-malloc=system
-force-d3d11-no-singlethreaded

Because they only have around 4GB usable, people tend to forget about the os and basic app memory usage.
