low fps on a 980 ti
im playing on high settings ( not everything is maxed out ) and i start as i join a server with 60-70 fps and after 20 mins or so my fps can go down to 29 .. and wont go back up .. riva tuner on .. GPU usage doesnt exceed 35% but the Vram goes up to 5900MB and my Vram is 6gbs so im assuming thats the problem .. i tried going low with the setting but no changes at all ..
any suggestions would be appreciated

i would want to say its your v ram. rust is a very, very memory heavy game. I cant say why the fps would be that low on a GTX 1070 as well unless its an issue of actual RAM instead of VRAM. how much ram do you have ?

me and stig have 16 gbs of ram .. and 2 weeks ago the game was stable 101 fps .. but suddenly the fps goes way down .. thats not a problem from my hardware for sure .. and just fyi some 980tis are doing a better job than 1070s so 980tis are not bad if u think so

Game is unoptimized simple as that...
i5 4690 3.5ghz
16gb ddr3 ram
gtx1060 6gb
-Can run witcher 3 ultra with stable 60 fps
-Run rust on potato from 120 to 30 fps

GTX980ti has almost the same performance as the gtx1080

run everything on stock settings and turn off all your other crap. I run a I7 and 1060 6Gb all at stock settings and get 90+ FPS, Maybe your ESP is bringing it down...

i know the game is unoptimized .. but if it was running well 2 weeks ago why is it bad now with no change in settings or pc

it is not our pc! this has nothing to do with our pcs. It’s a bug only the devs can fix. It’s not us it’s rust. They’ll fix soon and or find the fix for us.

Make sure rust is running on your gpu and not your hd that was mny friends issue
