How do you stay motivated to play rust?

Hey guys, serious question. How do you stay motivated to play rust? Personally, I love this game, but I find it very difficult to keep playing it when I loose my stuff in a week. I tend to be a busy person. So when I grind for a few hours and realize I'm gonna loose it all soon I begin to not enjoy it as much.

Just looking for what yall thing/ what to do/ motivation.

Join a monthly server?

I've tried a two week server, maybe I'll try a monthly

Monthly is great. Grind and build first week, fortify your base so you don’t get raided. Raid second week, roam until you get bored.

i took a 4 month break and i now that I came back, I put 150+ hours every 2 weeks

I play modded servers, but only a weekly wipe and i loose my motivation when it all goes away so fast.

Try Dallas Noobs Server. It's a monthly wipe server with 2x gather, so your farming time is cut in half. It's also no decay, so no need for that TC upkeep. It's also no twig, so no twig within TC radius. Other than that, it's vanilla. Well, 3k stacks mod as well.

If you want to stick vanilla join a monthly but i highly recommend joining a 3x modded because if you can succesfully trap some geared guys you can get aks first in the first 3 hours of one of my experiences on a 3x server i made a trap base after my first one i made all i had was a flame turret and a pipe shot gun i put the flame turret in the bottom get my friend to act like the guy in my trap base who i was "raiding" and then baited some geared guys over by shooting at them with a pipe. i quickly ducked behind the base and came out again saying to the geared guys that it wasnt me saying that i was trying to raid this guy then i told them that i was trying to raid the guy in the base (aka trap base) then i told them from experience that there was no fuel in the turrets all 3 jumped in and we got 3 aks 3 sets of heavy plated armor and roadsign kilts and ran away. Anyway sorry for the loing story just trap base with a buddy IT WORKS

Change up your playstyle.

Do what I do. As a solo player. I like to be slippery and agile. I have 7 bases.

Yes, you heard right. 7 different bases. All spread across the map with my loot spread across all 7. This way I can roam more, and not get paranoid about having to constantly upgrade my base in fear it will get raided.

If one gets raided. Pffft. I make another one.

This way I am unkillable.

The clans cannot touch me. They raid one base of mine and they think they have killed me.
Hah. Fools.

The SINGLE MOST important thing is to make sure you are having fun.
If your ina boring grind for hours on end. Stop.
Just stop and realize your pissing time away. Go out roaming. Put everything way, take 12 cloth and 4 spears , a rock, a torch, and acoustic guitar.
Go on an epic ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ adventure.

And if you come back with some juicy loot. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bonus. Treat those who are co-operative and are not annoying squeakers kindly. Anyone who does not a mic, kill them, anyone who is a squaker , kill them. They cannot be trusted.

There is nothing like random banter with other players Rust. You do not have to be a try hard KOS machine all the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ time.
