How to become admin on Rust

So....
I've been researchig for days know on how to become an admin. I would like to be able to banned people that dont follow the server rules, and im creating a PvE server for building tests, therefore be also able to spawn material. My server runs through "gameservers" and i did download "RustAdmin". Please, can someone help me set my server up, step by step, and be as decrpitive as possible. It's been over a month now that my server is down due to this fact. you can either messege me on here, [e-mail], and/or through friends requwst (1375085).

Most of what you will need if you are making a modded server with larger gather rates and stuff, is on http://oxidemod.org/

Pretty much all the information can be found on their forum. Most new server admins, go there first. Just use the search function and you'll see others asking the same questions you are and you can see the answers they were given. That's about the easiest way to do it.

If you are making just a vanilla server, Gameservers should have sent you an email giving you step by step instructions.

I had a gamservers server there rubbish for help. but you can just edit the map size and the name of the server in the control panal.

They send you step by step instructions to get the server up and running. Is it their fault you can't follow them? They have the Oxide mod, which you can install with just a few clicks. But if you want support for that, why would you ask Gameservers? They don't make the mod and/or plugins and more than likely will be reluctant to answer questions about someone elses work. So would I.

Facts are facts but yea, I wouldn't rent from them either because they are pr!cks. But that's beside the point.

They did not send me any step by step. they sent a page with how to set up my server name and map size. However it dose not tell you how to add your self as admin on the server. It dose not tell you have to change the map ( it says type the map name dose not work) so your step by step
isnt waht i recived but this was about 9 months ago.

Go into the RCON, and type

ownerid -YOUR STEAM64ID HERE-

After that type

server.writecfg

In the commands text box of the RCON of-course.
