Red message text spamming my screen after latest update

Got that in red repeatedly down the left of the screen.
Ubuntu 16.04 / NVIDIA Corporation GM204M

Did you try restarting the game,i get spammed sometimes too and my game crashes.
If it keeps on happening then idk,your graphics card might not be good enough

Same here, I'm playing with a friend. I dom't have red messages (win10) but my friend has (Mac OS X) since last update

I tried so many times, I also reopened my computer, went to another server, but what I did just nothing.

I am having the same issue, playing on mac with High Sierra. The game was playing perfectly yesterday. The water reflection trick did work temporarily, thank you for that!!

Facepunch Studios has horrible Linux/Mac support. Garry himself even admitted he hates supporting Linux because it's hard for him. So, *nix OS gets less attention even though it's supposed to be officially supported and should operate just as it does on Windows. Unfortunately that isn't the case.

I am using Windows 10 on a 1 year old asus laptop. My driver is up-to-date. I have turned water reflections off. I have restarted Rust, updated Rust, and restarted my entire computer...
I have been having this red writing issue on the side of my screen since yesterday's update on Rust (August 6th). How do I get rid of the red writing on my screen????????????
