It's called BB (britishborders)
They wipe because the game gets stale, because once people get raided they tend to leave.
The Wipe breathes new life into the game.
The thing is that I totally recognize the appeal of one week wipes for people who are more regular. I just think it's unfortunate that there isn't more server variety for the rest of us I guess. I'm also frustrated with the blatently pay2win donator servers. I don't care about the resources they get, but the ability to call helistrikes and nukes is pretty ridiculous. I understand servers need supporting, I've hosted a few myself for Ark, they cost money and take real effort to run so I respect people who donate.
Anyways yeah, like I said I'm just frustrated because I enjoy Rust, but without a good server to keep going back to, well, it's just not as fun as it should be. I had the same experience with Ark. I can't deal with vanilla rates and lack of admin oversight for hackers, and unofficial servers were always a gamble.
I wish the official servers offered more variety instead of appealing to only one set of gamers. ( However large that group may be. )
They wipe cause the game building and raid system its not balanced.
you can check this suggestion which will improve the healthy life of the servers http://steamcommunity.com/app/252490/discussions/3/1479857071248147389/
from 1 week to 1-3 months.
After three days I have a solid elaborate base and am starting to focus more on gearing up to open world PVP more comfortably and start to gather explosives. That's on a 1.5x - 2x server with BetterLoot. I play a few hours a night, nothing hardcore but a bit more than casual as I'm at least a daily player.
I end up playing on One Week Wipe servers because that's where most of the playerbase is. I prefer to play on populated servers, more risk etc. The two week / one month wipe servers tend to not be managed as effectively. Often it's not clearly listed in the server name either, only in the server info which you can't view if you're using Steams server lists ( which allow you to filter for ping, something Rusts in game server lists don't have for some ridiculous reason. )
Finding a decent server, for me, is the worst part about this game. It feels pretty unnecessary too.
I guess I'm not playing Rust anymore, lol. This ♥♥♥♥ keeps happening. Like why start a progression based game knowing it's all going to wipe the next day? Is this Call of Duty lol...
There's absolutely no point to play tonight, right? Run around with a stone trying to gather ♥♥♥♥ to build a base that's going to be destroyed tomorrow?
