RUST TAKES SO LONG TO LOAD

Hello guys! I have a problem with rust.The problem is that it takes a lot of time to load up a server.The game opens really fast but it takes for me almost 15 minutes to get to a server! I play rust on my PC. Most of the times it either kicks me out,and when i try again it takes even more time to load.The problem started immidiately when i downloaded rust.

Also one it seems to freeze mostly when it loads caves

you dont have enough ram you need at least 8 but should have 16

it depends on you, i personally would just go and get an 8gb ram stick and call it a day but then again can your gpu handle the game with the additional ram. so what is your graphics card?

An SSD would greatly decrease the load times.

Not sure,i put in the best one i could find,my friends tell me its pretty good.But i dont have enough time to go get 8 gb ram :(

any game now worth its salt should do a prescan and tell you if the pc isint up to scratch!

they're working on vastly reducing load times; in the next few weeks, facepunch is going to impliment "world serialization" which will bring loading times down from a few minutes to a few seconds as well as laying the groundwork for possible community-made maps down the line. :^)

If they could just fix the small issue that large numbers of perople cant log on right now....!

you can run rust on a bare server, your cpu is your problem to your loading time (as well as the game itself which is being fix) and if you crash on loading it, you might be alt tabing or clicking out of the game when loading. and another issue is a gpu, you need a gpu to run most games well.

i have a reasonably speced PC im trying to run in simple mode - and i cant even get a server list.
I think they have developed for a user base that has PCs less than 2 years old.

check your rust betas. you could be in the wrong verson. You dont need a super pc to run rust. but it helps.
