the issue for memory leak is the shaders
I keep my Fx 8320 at 4.6 ghz so I think if you have a good cooler with 1.45 and just multiplier clock increase you can keep it also at 4.6
Gta 5 it's more open world than rust and it doesn't pass 4.6-5gb of ram usage even after hours of gameplay. Really there is an issue right now and has been for a while, the game lacks optimization. There are things running in background that don't do ♥♥♥♥ for the user and not required for the game that eat up ram. There are things that could be done better in order for the game to work ok, I don't need to upgrade, the issue with the ram is going on also for people with 16gb
i have 16 gb never top 7gb
happy to help
after about 20 minutes, the consumption of rust is around 17gb (have 20 installed) and climbs further that my entire system is unusable
i tried all like setting graphics to potato, 1024x768 windowed, "-maxmem" to 6gb or 8gb but nothing changes
