Can't sell items from the RUST Store?

So I talked to Garry Newman about the market ban(outside 7days cd) on new items from the store and he replied "We don't intend to ruin it. We intend to make it fair to the skin authors." After I QQ'ed about me not being able to merchant/sell my items i bulked up on.

So I guess skin-makers make a % of the skins they get approved in the store? And they just want to make it fair and keep the interest up for the skinmakers?

Still, quite a change without a warning and screwed a lot of us over. Having a game like RUST with a stable and interesting market is awesome. But 8 weeks? I might talk for myself, but I get bored of skins after 2 weeks, then I swap around. And younger guys without currency that need to swap around(joining a clan or what not that require sets) being stuck with stuff for 8 weeks? Fair or not towards the skinmakers, I just find this somewhat stupid.


All and all, it's silly. Period! To benefit the skinmakers? 8 weeks?

There's loads of tweaks that can be made.

One suggestion might be:
4 weeks, increase their cut if u care so much about 'em. Remove the scaling price week by week(% of bought items must be low at 2-3 weeks increase anyway), have it on the starting price only = More items sold, stable market. Steady cashflow for the company with afordable items for everyone new as old. And implement more shirts, pants etc! So we can actually tell people apart in the game.

Let's not get this locked. Show your thoughts rather then spew dirt all over it regardless of the stupidity in some of our eyes. It's not about the money making side nor personal issues with devs or facepunch as a whole. Just have your say and if enough of us show our unhappiness with the lack of information about a change in the making we might be able to reverse it or atleast meet half way (Call me a optimist).

I guess they get a smal % for making the skins? Hence why they changed it? Instead of us who merchant it after a week buying big numbers to then flood the market? Crazy thing to just patch and not announce, it got all my currency on this acc in 80 boxes atm, lol. Rip

While it sucks that you spent $200+ on skins, that means you bought 150+ skins? Which means you bought multiple version of the same skins? Why did you do that?

Yes, it was good way to invest money and try to get profit. So what I have to do now? Why you didn't notice me before purchasing? For me it's look like scum now from developers side :(

Strictly profit. You see a good skins most ppl will want (like the kilt coming out) they double and even more from the store price on the market. The more you buy, the more you make.

Been a slow month on good skins with so many new items, fridges, carpets etc. So I just bought 80ish boxes for some smal profit. Now it's just lost money seeing they will drop. Purely selfish reasons I QQ but in all fairness changes need to be announced if you want a stable and happy players.

I think it will kill skin system. Now ppl will buy only few item for personal use, so even at first week it will be weak purchasing, because it were a lot of ppl who were buying skins for investment, but now they will quit.

So now for me this skins just useless and I can't sell them and I wouldn't buy enything else.

Only time will tell, but items sold will drop, no doub't. Unless it's a item that is used frequently and looks awesome (armor, pants/shirts), rest will most likely drop.

So will this not return the new skinmaker go for making pants, shirts helms etc rathern then a cool fridge or w/e?

I was buying every week for $50-250. But now I don't have any money at my account, so I woudn't buy now more.

From other side when I bought some skin I'm took some risk for my money. Look at skins they can grove in price but they can drop, because at next week developers relise new better skins, so I could loose my money.

It was risky but if you're good in trade and you're analyse market you can get profit but it wasn't so easy.

Now I'm completely dissapointed because I don't have money more, I have only this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ skins :(

As much as it sucks and I disagree with the decision they do have the right to make changes.
