On this version of Rust, there are like 2400-2600 assets when joining a server, the server loads slower and in a 200 slot server you will find crazy fps drops.
So what it all comes down to is a lot of people aren't able to play on 200 slot servers here. If you're having fps drops, just find a smaller server, running a smaller map. Problem solved.
Exactly!
yes it could be, the thing is that on the server I play altough the map is quite big there is a limit of 50 players, the issues starts when the server becomes more populated with structures. After the wipe the game runned flawlesly, after 1-2 weeks of people joining and building things it became worse, now after 15 minutes of gameplay it's unplayable at all.
Yup because those players add more assets to the map (foundations, walls, furnaces etc) I know I said slots, but the map size is the key. More map = more assets to fill map. (trees, boulders, logs, random coast liter, rad towns etc)
60 person servers are the best. Rust should not be struggling to find a patch of land that hasn't been built on already.
