Yes, it is an exploit because it's exploiting the limitations of the game mechanics to unlock a lock. No, it is not a feature to make code locks more rewarding. A lock is intended to be a lock whether it is a key lock or a code lock. One does not impact any features of the other. The locks have limitations due to developer design which allows them to be exploited. This was never an intended mechanic that one could make hundreds of keys to unlock a key lock. The mechanic is limited thus exploitable due to its limitations. if lock picking was to be a thing, there should have been a real lock picking mechanic put into the game, but there is none and nothing has been mentioned regarding such a mechanic. Stop making excuses for these guys.
@porkstation there were 100 different keys before the last 2 updates and I almost always got in with 3 inventories max.
Tldr: I'm not complaining that it's fixed. Im trying to find out if it is.
What part of developer design exploit don't you understand? If it was intended to do that from the beginning, it would have been stated so and designed to do as such, but it was not. It was never made to be used in this manner so yes, it's an exploit. You really need to learn what exploits actually are before commenting in defense of a faulted game mechanic. The code lock is also exploitable that you can guess codes due to yet again, lock mechanic limitations that can be exploited. There are 10,000 possible combinations on a 4 digit PIN lock. Anyone with lots of time to waste can go through thousands of code combinations in no time thus allowing them to unlock doors through exploiting the limitations of the mechanic. You can try to endorse your logic with all the reasoning you want, but it is not going to change the fact that the mechanic wasn't designed to work that way. If it were, they wouldn't have attempted to fix it in the first place. To defend exploits is to condone cheating.
It's great you're testing to see if it's actually fixed. Is it working to date or is it still exploitable?
Our recruitment process has a few steps the first may be a game changer, you have to be British if you are then the next step is to check your hours on Rust, if you have over 80 you are good to go. Next step you must own Discord and have a working mic. The next step requires you to be at least 15, any younger if off-limits. Finally you must be able to play at the very lowest 5 hours a week.
So now you've heard a bit about our requirements here are our policies
*Please do keep in mind that these polices may change over time, an updated post will be released if so.*
