Need an explanation of how this game works

So, Before I buy it , I would like to have some information about the game.
How the servers things works? things I have in a specific server will be on all the servers?
are there servers that on 24/7 ? or when ever a server i played with down, i have to start all over?

Your items do not transfer from server to server. Server choice is everything! If you are new and want to play solo do join a 200 populated server. Find a low to mid populated one. Of course try to find one somewhat close to you geographically. Don't be US playing on a British server, it makes it tougher to play smoothly. I hope this helps!

Servers are not linked they are standalone. The idea of the game is to gather resources, build a base, craft things, kill people and raid other people's bases. There is nothing else to the game other than a helicopter that comes around every 2 hours you can shoot down for loot and some animals that roam the map you can kill or get killed by. You can join PvP or PvE servers. That's Rust in a nutshell. Other than that, research the company before you purchase the software. If you purchase the software, you have 2 hours to return it so use those two hours wisely.

Bear skin rugs contribute what to the core mechanics and game play? Reworking wood armour skinning is core enhancing? Fun updates include unplayability I guess too?

make sure you have a good comp also. even with a good comp game may lag like hell. everyone is out to kill you. there are no friends in rust. game is hard solo. so you might want to find a clan or someone to play with. Do not play modded server the adman always cheats. play on a PVE server for afew days to learn afew things b/f going to a reg pvp server
hope this helps. also make sure you have 16gb of memory and 10gb free memory if you only have 8gb total you will have (might) lag issues. hope this helps. game is fun if you have 10-15 people playing with you. solo then you may have problem. why i said run a pve server afew days.

That's not true, I played for 3 years on a 4gb ram wal-mart laptop. Did it have its moments?..yes. But I could play the game. Now I have an 8gb computer with a decent graphics card and it's smith as can be.

Yeah, the system specs aren't really accurate. Depending on how bad an update breaks the game or how sloppy they code during any given month or week while releasing a patch, it affects even the best of gaming systems. Performance is relative too. Everyone has their own standards of what good performance is. Generally speaking though this game is a resource pig.

No need to be a jerk. They don't need 16Gb of RAM. 12Gb would get them by probably, but why invest money on RAM to play a game with such a cancerous community of players such as yourself, who can't even be civil on a discussion board when someone's asking for help?
