Rust roof camping

Okay so I know that roof camping is a Rust sin and I hate it as much as the next guy especially when out harvesting and the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in his base about 150m out and decide to shoot you for god knows what roof campers and offline raiders should eat a ♥♥♥♥ but... is there times when it's acceptable because I was getting raided the other day and they blew through my high external wall so I grabbed my AK went up to my roof and deleted them from the server 2 more whipped around and said I am a "Roof camping prick." I simply told him that I was defending my base from a group that tried to raid me. I also had a bunch of people just attack me by my base when getting resources and they decided to door camp and watch my windows I ended up killing them from my roof just to have them slander me in chat for being a "Roof camping prick" but the server was on my side that if people are going to ♥♥♥♥ with me while I am just getting resources and ♥♥♥♥ then door camp me then I did what I could to get them out of my area. Wanted opinion on what is wrong when it comes to roof camping, I think it's fine if you roof camp while being raided or attacked.

I'm a proud roof camper. I roof camp even when it's not necessary. I roof camp when I don't have nothing better to do, like when I'm waiting the helicopter (I love to shot down the helicopter). I love to door camp too.

Well you live in IRL rust (brazil) so I guess it isn't as bad for you to do that, as you need to distract yourself from the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ you live in.

Shooting a naked from 250 from the top of your base, is roof camping and I would call an offensive shot. Hitting rats on the head while they stand next to your wall is defense, so tell them to... well you know.

People are idiots. The only time roofcamping is suppose to be frowned upon is when its used to kill people who have nothing, or killing people you dont intend to get off your roof to loot. You best believe if you have a kit on, or I see you farming resources from my roof, you best believe I will kill and loot you. And if you're the type of person to think something is wrong with that, then you're an idiot.
