Go to Steam settings then Account and it will be a tab in there,

Devs @ Facepunch let everyone know it was steam side that the authorisation was conflicting. All it will be is a slight bug in the beta version that was updated, pretty sure it has been fixed now though.

The fix worked for me so i thought i would let people know and they could see if it works for them :)

It means that client Rust You have is got outdated ( yes this shows everywhere on ANY server \\Steam auth Timeout\\ \You try to join ) and new patch is launched by Rust all servers - the only known way for me that worked is to wait patiently for Steam client to "notice" that new client circa 1.7 Giga is available to be downloaded/ upgraded... THEN You can play again on any server You wish. The newest version needs to be "Linked" / flaged as new update is available by Steam Automation Server and by Rust developers request sended to steam server so it takes some time to be ackowledged by Steam that it has no new threats like: viruses backdoor and others ... also - uninstalling the Game and installing again will NOT help... You will simply install once again outdated version You allready have.

worked for me -> wait time is a pain i know ( for me it took from evening Saturday 11:00 P.M to Sunday Morning 6:00 A.M in Poland / Central European Time (CET) if You prefer)

1. go to library
2. rigth click rust press properties
3. press local files and verify integrity of game files
4. ez win
