How to auhorize teammates on flame turret?
Hey guys,
As you know a flame turret was introduced with the latest patch. It needs fuel to work and doesn't shoot the person that placed it. However I have a base with 2 other guys and the flame turret shoots them everytime >_> When I press E on the flame turret I can only remove / add low grade fuel. There is no option to authorize on the flame turret so my teammates don't get burned to death. Any solution to this or something i'm overlooking? Thanks and stay Rusty :steamhappy:

Hello, my flame turret thinks its an lamp. So it attacks me. Can only add fuel no other options.

it doesn't attack me I think because I placed it there, you should try to authorize on the nearby toolcupboard. I'm going to try if this works when my friends come online.

My TC was on 1st floor and the turrent 1,5 down... Didnt know the TC goes not 50m down.

Ah ye I was also wondering if the 50 feet radius of the TC goes in all directions including height.

TC's have a dome-shaped area of effect now so anything below the cabinet is not affected.

well these things are messed! i have my TC just one floor and almost directly ABOVE the flame turret. I am getting roasted! I placed the turret AND am authorized! wtf?

The radius of the toolcupboard only goes one half floor down so it's best to also put a toolcupboard on the ground floor and then authorize on it so you don't get roasted :D

That happened to me... I just placed a flame turret down, gave it fuel it killed immediately after.
Now I have to wait for it to run out of fuel to get my stuff. -.-

Yeahh... see why Rust players say these turrets are crap now.

To get people authorized to flame turret or shotgun turret they must first authorize themselves on the tool cupboard. after that have fun defending, trolling and trapping
