No sound

I've restared my game several times and i have also restarted my pc this hasnt changed anything and my sound is still broken on the game. However my other sound such as discord and everthing else still works, andyone help please?

So if you are running windows 10, right click the sound icon on your taskbar. Click open sound setting. from there change your output setting to your speakers/headset. Restart your game, hope this helped fix the problem.

I also had to disable the realtek HD audio devices and that fixed it.

Where is Realtek HD Audio i dont see it and how do u get to that tab on windows 10

You'll only have Realtek HD Audio if your motherboard or sound card is Realtek based. If you have SoundBlaster by Creative you won't have it unless you added a RealTek based card separately.

I fixed it by going into the Game Menu/Audio/Speaker Mode and cycling down to "Stereo" and back up to the original 7.1 Surround.

The thing you gotta do is just go to Rust -> Settings -> Audio -> Audio Mode (idk what it is in English honestly) then change that to 4 speaker surround and back to stereo. Done.

If anyone is still having issues this is what I did to fix it.
Windows 11: Make your way to the Volume Mixer: System > Sound > Volume mixer
While Rust is open Rust mixer should appear. If not, thats another issue.
Click on the Drop down arrow and change the settings to what you want.
Close the game and reopen.
Sound was on for me after this process.
