SPAZ is more "arcade-y" than SPAZ 2; they don't fill the same niches. I personally like both games but have about twice the hours in the second; it has a LOT more replayability, imo.

If u like SPAZ one u will not like SPAZ 2. It is inferior in every possible way. I kinda wish that devs do their golf simulator after SPAZ 1 due to how bad SPAZ 2 is.

Funny, I liked SPAZ quite a bit but SPAZ 2 more. Sorry, your opinion is not even close to universal on this ^^ .

Both are good games and worth buying. SPAZ 1 had better story and combat felt more tactical and dynamic with more types of missions. SPAZ 2 is better visually and has a fun, although shallow, strategical element. The combat though is repetitive and restricted to 4 capital ships.

A lot of people complain about SPAZ 2 but I think it has a lot of unrealised potential. Felt like the devs got bored and moved on before properly finishing it. Would they ever decide to get back to it, they could add tons of DLC which fleshes out both the combat and strategic aspects of the game as there is lots they could add in this department.

I tried to play the second one again this week, 2nd one just sucks for me. I loved the first though.

I agree with all of this. I prefer SPAZ 1, but wanted to like SPAZ 2 due to how much they could have done with the system they developed. They didn't, so it was a decent game until I realized it had already ended and I was waiting that whole time for it to get more interesting.

spaz1 and 2 are different games. balance is the worst.
dont bother yourself. i would rather buy factorio or signs of life , they are fun at least for that money.

You wanna give examples or....?

I mean, Cracktorio is great and all... but SPAZ 1 and 2 are a lot of fun if you enjoy the gameplay elements.

I just refunded it - it's dreadful - the tutorial is..wow, it plays like a game from 1992, it's like, imagine EVERY garbage UI implementation in the universe was stuffed into an ugly space shooter. Even changing gear is well a chore. Awful.

Changing gear is actually extremely easy, if you bother to learn how to do it. No, you don't have to use the tractor beam =) . For simple module swaps, you can even do it from your inventory.
