Between this one and GoW Ultimate Edition?

No it's not. It's just the first game completely rebuilt for modern hardware. A remaster of the remaster etc.

yea, but also they are saying that its optimized. The PC version of the last one was a mess. Also its insane to me that GOW is going to be on Playstation. Never thought I'd see the day.

Also the fact that its available on EVERYTHING, and its cross-platform support for multiplayer, this could be huge for reviving the original comp scene for the game. Multiplayer could straight up be insane esp if optimization holds up. Most OG GOW players are pretty sharp with controllers, it should be really interesting seeing so many different kinds of players between consoles and PC going at it.

Ultimate Edition is unplayable crap on PC so hopefully this one will be good.

Xbox is officially a publisher now, which is not bad in my opinion, as long as they drop their games on Steam I'm fine.

They could release all the others as DLC for this.

As long as they don't screw up the gameplay, this will be awesome. We don’t want “Gears 1 with Gears 3 or 5 gameplay.” We want Gears 1 gameplay. Period.

Will most likely buy it day one on Steam since it's free on Xbox if you own the Ultimate Edition so might as well use the money on PC version instead.

I have the PC version but the wording on the site seems to make it sound like they might only be giving the Xbox version the free upgrade. Hopefully they give it to both since the old PC version ran terrible.

I've only heard them say Xbox owners of the Ultimate Edition will get it for free, but HOPEFULLY that applies to Microsoft Store version owners too.
Just wish they'd specifically confirm that.
