We'll continue to update the game with any additional fixes for a good while after this first update, so have no fear! Any problems that occur will be addressed in time and we are doing our best to test it internally before releasing it to the wild! :)
Ignorant...
Do you not see the irony in this? Releasing a double pack with broken online functionality... it's not the point that they gave a discount, it's the fact that they're selling double packs when the online doesn't even work. Fix the game FIRST! Then advertise the game honestly...
To me this is just a scam to get unsuspecting people to buy the two copies of the game and then get frustrated and give the game bad reviews / not recommend it to people. I would love to see the game succeed but with marketing tactics like this, it's doomed to fail and it's false advertising.
Most people already gave up on it because they can't play online co-op... which sucks because the game is excellent and deserves better. This was it's second chance at redemption and it's not doing well... at least not currently.
But fair enough, if you say the online is getting fixed then I'll hope you guys make this right. I hope the game does get fixed because as an early adopter I'm pretty pissed I wasn't able to enjoy this game online.
I was forced to play it locally which is just ridiculous considering I was forced to do that with the Xbox Live release and the entire reason I re-purchased the game on Steam.
Sorry if I'm not a happy customer and seem like a "troll" but that's how consumerism works. I payed good money for something under false pre-teneses which is actually illegal...
So I reserve the right to voice my opinion. :)
Good luck with the patch. Thanks for the response dev.
Are you trying to play with people all the way across the other side of the planet? It doesn't matter what video game it is, if your ping and latency is poor with another server or ip (in this case, the ip being another player) then there's no netcode fix in the world that can do anything about it.
If I have a high ping on a server in russia, sweden, norway... that means I'll never have a good solid connection with it. Same goes for playing with someone else that you have a poor connection with. When I play Battlefield 4 I choose a server in my region that I have a good ping on. Same basic concept with this game. I would only ever play this game with someone else that I have a good connection with.
It`s virtually unplayable... every game I`ve ever played online (about 10 of them total before I gave up), lagged, de-synced or froze after 5 minutes of game play.. to me that`s broken. It`s not rude or lying if it`s my own experience...
The majority of players who are trying to play this game online, like 98% of them are having online issues... you`re just one of those people that`s able to tolerate the lag or maybe got lucky and have a good connection with the person you`re playing with...
What`s dumb is you arguing with perfectly sane logic... the game is getting patched for a reason, and the online IS indeed broken. Just because you got the game to work doesn`t mean that hundreds of other people can...
The world doesn`t revolve around you bud.
+1
Almost everyone has problems, and does not mean to lie, but simply report their negative experience.
Personally, there has not been a single co-op game when I have not had any problems. Unable to play in these conditions.
At least the issues were settled before selling a double pack that can not be able to play the main function for which it was probably purchased.
We look forward to this patch with the hope that the biggest problem will be repaired.
Shh...be careful when speaking too loudly about "The EA Devil."
I won't lie. In this particular case, I totally skimmed it half-assedly. But I certainly don't fall into your generalization as a whole. If you check my other post, you might know this. I just find your complaint silly in ANY context...even after finally actually having time to sit down and read this thread start to finish. Sorry, some of us don't have the time to read it all without getting pulled to real life task.. and I made the foolish mistake of replying out of context :) It happens. Welcome to the internet.
I for one have no arguements with bulk-type price reductions. I wouldnt call them a sale or a discount since its a permanent thing. If anything i think ALL games bought in packs should have a reduction if not decreased a bit more.
It isn't really a scam in any way/sense/form. Especially when the company behind it is making an honest effort to fix the game.....unlike say....Aliens: Colonial Marines. You want dishonety, fraud, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ tactics? Look there, then get back to me! I for one have sworn off any gearbox/sega future purchases after that! That's how bad it affected me and my crew.
This thread is pretty dumb...skimmed or read in full. It really didnt warrant a full read in hindsight. NYAAHH!
pssst....
psssst....
Did you ever see that Twilight Zone where the guy signed a contract and they cut out his tongue and put it in a jar and it wouldn't die, it just grew and pulsated and gave birth to baby tongues? Pretty cool, huh?
