What's a good program for drawing maps?

Ever since I watched an episode of .Hack where Bear needed to grab some graph paper to draw out a map I've wanted to try that myself. Etrain oddesy for the DS came close, but the maps ended up filling themselves in and you just added boarders and notes, which was disappointing. Needless to say, when I saw Grimrock's old school mode I was sorely tempted. However, I don't really want to deal with physical graph paper and my drawing talent is abysmal anyways.

Is there a good program I could use to draw maps for grimrock, either on a second screen or on an android?

there is some "grid paper" you can use in the Grimrock local files. Either edit them in a paint program or print em out if you have a printer.
