How to make a Farmer cast magic?

Hey guys, how do I make my back-row Farmer pal cast magic? I have put 1 into Concentration and 2 in Water for him but his hands don't glow with magic and just do regular attack. Is there a spell book of some sort for casting?

This is for anyone that doesn't state they can do it with their hands. You need a item that allows spellcasting, if you have the concentration to wield said item, equip it and right click it. Should be able to cast like any other spellcaster from that point.

In order to cast spells with character that isn't a bare hands caster you have to equip yourself with any of the spellcaster item: staff, wand or orb. After equiping such item, just press right mouse button on that item while equiped, like you do with spellcaster hands and runes will apear.

The only staff that you can't cast any spells is Lightning Rod.
