How do I kill air elementals?

They can only be harmed by two methods: the "dispel" spell, which is found in a secret in the Ruins of Desarune (on the Meditation Spire) and the Ethereal Blade ... which is in the cemetery somewhere, others have probably posted.

They are called air elementals officially. Just so you know.

i'd suggest an orbital nuke but they immune to fire.

Air elementals, then. I killed my first on at the House of Needles. :)

There are five ways to kill them. Dispel, the Ethereal Dagger and the Acolyte's Staff special (which is really just Dispel, only doesn't require you to cast the combination), all of those harm the air elemental. If you have no access to any of those, telefragging them is an option since they spawn close to areas with teleporters. Finally, the item you get from the final bossfight can kill them.

I have all the items and the spell that you listed. Thanks for your help, I'll use these to kill them from now on. Yesterday I only used Dispel and it took me a while to kill it.

I've found that shock spell damages them

Look carefully, the numbers are green. You actually heal them with electric damage.

These nuisances take too long to kill. Running around spamming dispel is boring.
