Lightning bow - Worth it?
So I have a rogue archer and I found this lightning bow but it requires 1 point in air magic to use the special attack (Shock Arrow). Is it worth it to invest 1 point in air magic for this bow or is there a better one later?

The basic Bow, the Crookhorn (think that's the name), and the Lightning Bow are all there are in the terms of bows. Personally I'd take the Crookhorn over the Lightning Bow, since the Volley ability has unlimited uses, where as the Lightning Bow, and consequently one of your few skill points, only gives a handful or two of 'free' uses of the Lightning Bolt spell. Not to mention I think the two of them have the exact same damage.

tl;dr: No, its not worth the skill point investment in my opinion.
Lightning bow does not have charges! But requires Air magic 1 for the special... and it's damage is significantly higher than the Crookhorn.

I'm trying to figure out which is most effective- Lightning Bow vs Crossbow, and I'm not sure. Lightning bow can hit for as low as 21 damage, with 35 dex, whereas the low end for the crossbow seems to be almost double that, 37 is the lowest I've seen on Turtles.

I wonder if bolts have more inherent damage than arrows, like in LoG 1, but the stat is hidden...?

Not to mention things that are vulnerable to shock take extra damage
Oh wow, really? For some reason I remember it having charges. Never mind my stupid ass then, go for it.

I personally found crossbow to be more effective... The higher damage multiplied by crit is very nice. I was critting for 150+ with a crossbow with an alchemist, which is more than a fireball spell could do. Even the normal vanilla hits were in the range of 50+ damage on average.
Seconding the crossbow over the Lighting Bow. The better damage is considerably better. However, hold on to the Lightning Bow. I'm pretty sure it does lightning damage normally, yes? So if you find an enemy weak to lightning, if you need the edge, you can still utilize it.
