Where to get a food?

Mobs have stopped to respawn, and now I'm starving.

I don't know what to tell you. I've never been in short supply of food. Food is literally everywhere, and if you're absolutely out of sources, jump in a few water areas and get the fish.

Some tips: don't eat unless the bar is at least halfway down, otherwise you're just wasting product. There's a necklace that removes the debuffs from starving (and I think too much weight) but I forget the name, get that ASAP and equip it on the character you're most likely to use as a pack mule or is a food processor like a Minotaur.

If you're desperate for food, drop into the water. You can grab fish swimming around in there.

2 Turtles respawn at the Beach and are good for a few pieces of meat.

As another poster said, don't eat unless you are hungry. You'll eat less overall because of it.

Yeah, fish is a good idea. As to turtles they don't respawn anymore. Or at least their respawn time has become much longer.

I found wargs to be pretty good sources of food considering they spawn every night. (Or atleast it seemed like it)

there is not enough food in second game and it spawns slowly
i think that was done to prevent farmer powerleveling, but i'm totally ate everything in the game
i starwing faster than i can feed all 4 of them with waiting to respawn frogs dawgs and turtles

I beat the game in 19 hours with two crates full of food at the end and I never killed enemies to get food. I don't see how you could run out when turtles, wargs, frogs, and snakes all drop food. Plus all the bread you find.

i ate it all a cleaned whole island there is no any food left which don't respawn once a year

Goodness, did you eat it as soon as you found it? I am boggled that anyone can have issues with starving in this game honestly.

Neck Chain's the name. No starvation and no overburdened effect (can move at max speed with 100% load).
Got like 4 boxes of food stored in the hub, prolly will never use em up. I really have trouble imagining how one is able to run out of food. The consumption rate could well be doubled and you should still have plenty of food left over.

Anyway, apart from fishing with no mobs i dont think there is much to be done. Find the missing secrets? Some contain food. What's more important how do you stop mobs from spawning?

i also had to farm for food in the first game
but when i solo hardcore old school it there was too much food

FYI food drains when you wait or look in the map or walking around or resting
it can deplete pretty consistently, minotaurs wants to eat too

i'm gonna hard solo farmer it for the second walkthrough, and that's when there will be plenty of food

Well obviously having one character will make you eat less food. And we all know how hunger works. But unless you leave the game running for hours without pausing (and even then) there is more than enough food.

nope food depleting very fast
i don't know may be you using different settings and play withlow consumption traits
but if you will play with 4 minoturs or use 2x food draining items you will be always without food even without farmer class
there is just not much food in second game
especially if you are not trying to speedrun it

Erm, don't play with four minotaurs and food draining items?

And my first run took almost 36 hours, and I didn't know nearly enough about the game to speed run anything. As with everyone else, I had a whole crate full of food after I was done.

Even with four minotaurs, I find it hard to believe that people manage to exhaust all of the food in the game unless they're sleeping literally through every night.
