Petrification ever end?
I've gone through 2 floors and my knight is still petrified.
Can't use potions. If only way to cure petrification is through those blue save crystals then that's the worst game design i have ever seen.

To be fair, it's pretty easy to avoid petrification. The gaze of a gorgon is to be avoided.

And really, how is it any different to dying? That stops you using stuff and can only be cured by the healing crystals.
Petrification never ends.
When a character was literally turned to stone it's crystal time.
Characters suddenly become petrified is a lot different than dying. I can avoid death but i can't avoid getting petrified when i'm surrounded by monsters. I was enjoying this game until i got in the freaking pyramid.
There might be a potion to heal it... but I seriously doubt it.
The Crystal Shield gives one character resistance to petrification.

But yeah, it's pretty easy to avoid. I think you can actually turn your back to the Gorgon to avoid it.

I love the pyramid though. It's a very interesting dungeon, and feels very clustrophobic in all sections.

Antidot cure it.
There's not all that many gorgons, and only in one place I can recall was there so many enemies I couldn't step out of the way of the stare attack. It is telegraphed pretty strongly.

An antidote potion should remove petrification.
Petrification isn't always permanent. I've seen it wear off. My guess is it depends on the source.
Pretty sure looking away from the gorgon does not prevent petrification.

You're thinking of paralyzation. Petrification only has one source (the gorgon's scream). Beholders paralyze.
Hm. I seem to remember petrification wearing off, just much slower than paralysation. Also, it's not the scream that petrifies you(that's just to telegraph this attack), it's the yellow-orange gaze. It can be sidestepped.

Exactly. An antidote is all you need. :log_potion:
Really? How does the petrified character use the antidote?
Plop it into their inventory and drink it like normal. Petrification is permanent unless you use a healing crystal, or cure it with an antidote, whereas paralyzation is temporary (though the above still applies for that, too), so put your Alchemy to work.
As for how the character uses it thematically, it's the same answer as with the ress potion: someone else in the party is applying it to them.
