Cleared the first floor, but I haven't come across the key to open the locked door. Any hints on wher eit might be? Thanks : D

You've probably missed the same thing I and almost everyone else did. There's a pressure plate just barely visible in the darkness away from one of the walkways you have to throw something onto. I can't recall exactly which floor, but that's a start, eh?

Speaking of, should I hit up the Crystal caves before the cemetery or what? I'm missing four gems and have been everywhere but those two places, as far as I know.

Just try both and see which you bounce harder off. The mines are probably a little bit harder, but that's just my opinion.

There's gems everywhere. Have you been into the pyramid? You can find 19 gems before you enter the castle.
