Wow, thanks for the information, i didnt realize. However I used to kill them falling from above, like super mario, it's fastest way. (although you dont get experience)
Uhh...
Go to that statue, turn around 180 degrees, rest until it's night, wait a few seconds.
How exactly does one get turning around, waiting until night, all from something that says "...?"
I guess the "..." represent silence? Sleep = silence? Jesus some of the puzzles in this game are ♥♥♥♥♥♥. Thanks, though.
Tip: if you find yourself puzzled over a puzzle or re-exploring trying to find something once you do solve it or find what you're looking for hit F9 and load last save and go directly for the object[ive]. You'll find, that way, you too will be throwing out food also.
LOL No doubt!
This game isn't just based on equipment. Especially when you are able to avoid a lot of damage by dancing around like a jerk. The tricks are simple. minimize the amount of damage you will take. Knowing who to attack, where to fight, and having a sense of everything around you is how you survive. Oh... and also learn how they all attack. Like how axe and shield guys will always attack you if they are alone, and you strafe to their right (axe hand).
If ghouls are killing you, then you need to upgrade your equipment. Try searching around more often when you enter dungeons. There will normally be a lot of good equipment in early dungeons that makes thins easier.
If you are talking about the Wormbound Catacombs. Then I know what you mean if you are talking about that giant room with a pit of zombies. It's not wise to run in and tank. A crab would actually be able to do it. But not you.
My solution to that was to simply charge into the pit, run around, and flip enough of the levers, ignoring the ghouls till I opened the gate in front of the teleporter. And dashed in. At that point. It was just a game of waiting for one zombie to enter, and hack away while back pedaling.
As for the bosses in the catacombs, just rush them. The first one is pretty nasty because he's able to summon three ghouls at the start. The second one isn't bad if you turn around and get on him immediately. The reason why I say he isn't bad, is because if you attack him right at the start. He won't be bothered to summon any adds as long as you stay ontop of him.
The beholder (eyed enemy) will probably be chewing you up. But he shouldn't be your biggest concern. You want to stomp the boss before he can summon anything, and ♥♥♥♥ you over. If the beholder isn't doing a lot of damage. Feel free to stand still (I did. But his paralyzation became incredibly annoying.) Other wise, you might be able to dance around in circles around the boss. but do not stay in a corner square for long. he might weasle away from you, and summon crap to slap you to death.
But in all honesty. If I had a gun to my head, and was told to play one of these games again, Demon's Souls or LoG2. I'd tell the guy to just shoot me. They are both equally demented.
Other part. Pay attention to how the weapons are.
Don't just look at the damage.
Look at other effects as well.
The Scythe might as well be one of the strongest weapons in the game, and you get it incredibly early. It's damage output is between 17-38 base. And it's modified by strength and heavy weapons. It's cool down is 3.5 seconds. Bane (A popular weapon) has a damage rating somewhere in the 80s as a base.
What sets the two appart are their abilities.
The scythe has 3x damage on crits. and Bane has Devastate which deals a Decent amount of damage. But alas here's where the problems take place
The Scythe's 3x damage is easily obtained and can hit pretty constantly when your Crtical skill is up there. That being said, it can strike twice in the same cool down duration of a Bane which needs either 6.5 or 7 seconds.
Devastate requires 80 mana. (something that your fighter probably won't have). And can actually miss quite often. Which makes using it annoying. Not to mention the set up time.
So. What do I do? I actually keep both weapons on hand of my Knight. I usually use bane on small fries, where it can usually be a two shot with the rest of my party. And on bosses, I use the scythe at the start. And Bane closer to the end where that extra burst might actually be able to kill him before I run out of hp potions. Because... well, Kamikazeeing a boss is the only way to go sometimes. You will be right up in his face.
The chances for you to miss for anyone who's not dexterous is pretty high. So a speedier weapon will be able to make up for your lost damage output in the same amount of time. Even if it deals significantly less damage.
Playing on Ironman + Single use crystals with no spoilers. (Lost previous game due to video card dying/remade party, havn't wiped with new group)
-Turtles and wargs respawn over game-time (not steps taken) use the hub and go back and clear them for food, even if you don't need the food.
-Food depletes on actions taken & steps taken NOT time
-Healing is time-based not step based
-Artifact necklace prevents 1 party member from needing to be fed
-Only eat when there is a purpose to it aka need to regen or need to heal a wound
DONT REST unless party is evenly damaged.
-Use endurance on party creation, 3 of my team members have it the weight carry bonus is huge
EDIT 2 of my group are minotaurs and 2 of my group have enhanced lizard regen, both increase food consumption.
