~Cant Beat Lindworm~
Anyone know any tips on how to beat Lindworm? The fight just seems ridiculous and unfair

Kite.

Tips:

#1 Stay away from it when it has its shield up, it can still attack you even when stationary
#2 To get a breather you can always save up one enemy run to the opposite ends of the arena and heal up. Wave 2 has the boss using 3x5 frost shards so don't get close.
#3 When the magma golem wave turns up, use ranged attacks to kill off the fire elementals before luring the magma golems away from the lindworm. You absolutely HAVE to clear the magma golems otherwise the next section is almost impossible.
#4 When the last wave triggers, use spells to clear the swarms quickly then just focus on the boss. Enemies will despawn if you kill the boss - it's a lot easier than trying to battle through the wave of paralysis flyers

I didn't find it that hard, as long as you remember to keep DPSing the boss when you can. Getting backstabs is very possible when it stands up and roars.

That's the, top of the castle, bossfight right? kite a lot, be ready to run while creatíng potions, if he starts attacking before you've cleared the mobs, he'll damage them himself. He is very good at killing his own monsters btw, don't be scared if you have stuff left when he goes active, just make sure to not get caught.

Run around, dodge and pickoff the trash, use spells and ranged attack for easy dmg and sneak in some heavy melee hits.

I just left the magma golems alive, to be honest. They have too much HP to bring down in any reasonable amount of time, and they're slow enough that baiting him into trampling them for an insta-kill is easy.

Lindworm in general isn't the threat, it's the trash mobs. Focus on DPSing down a single target then move on to the next.

the first one i had to rng it up to get the boss in a 1 on 1 .... cause for some reason he sucked compared to the zombies, seriously :S beeing stuck with just the boss attacking the front row tanks, a cube spell to give you time to heal up and charge a melee attack if you got em. the zombies were really the problem here.

the second one i actually cloaked up walked to button and gtfoed, then after near finishing him off, telefragged em dead. which sucked. but yeah.

I smoked him at lv 13 no problem. Used a lot of cannon shots, metoer swarms, and throwing bombs.

Also, having over 300 herbs helped to make lots of potions
He is eviscerating me on Hard mode at the moment. I have to warn you all about the above...

Tip #4 is wrong... oh how wrong it is. He has >>>>infinite<<< spawns. After the magma there are swarms of mosquitoes that will kill your party in seconds, after that there are mimics and paralyzing flyers and after that there skeletons and skeleton bosses from cemetery which ALSO spawn infinite skeletons. That is the final wave!.. Oh just kidding there is more bull after that. If you survive the infinite skeletons there are poison mushrooms WITH infinite spawning pods like the boss in the bog. GG

Honestly I am just trying to get a lucky 1000 HP crit on him.

Beat him: Got my lucky crit.

SO loudly seconded. The first time I fought him I did it all wrong and went through crabs and fishmen, the ice elementals with their ice spikes, those damn green air elementals, a zillion damn mummies, and I lost track but you get the idea. I finally TPKed when he circled back around and summoned a field of even MORE magmas, probably at least 6 of the things along with a horde of fire knights.

However, the second time I only got as far as the mosquito swarms before I downed him because I learned my lesson: when his shield goes down, ignore everything else on the field and hit him as hard and fast as you can. He can and will OHKO even magmas just by crawling over them to get to you.

He's especially vulnerable when he does his little summoning poses. (Someone didn't read the Evil Overlord List.)

I killed him right as the Mimics spawned. Think it would have gotten out of hand if it went any further. The mosquito swarms almost got me but I was able to resurrect my mage in time to OHKO them with Fireburst. Now to find the hidden stuff I missed...

Really? just brew 4-6 potions, keep your inventory open, drink speed/rage if you have, and bumrush him. I literally just stood in front of him and blew everything I had at lv13 and he died in the first round.

Shrug, I killed him before he even spawned the magma wave. I just prepared with the best stuff I had; pre-made potions for everybody (health/rage/speed/shield + energy for the mage), cannon and the bombs. Lightning bombs seem to work pretty well.

Yeah, there are a couple of them behind the stairs leading up to the roof, in a not-so-subtle hint at "thing that will be useful in this boss fight."
