Okay, I give up, how do you unlock the pyramid?

I think I've done almost everything possible in the rest of the game, I've beaten Lindworm , I've gotten 18 power gems, but I still can't figure out how to open THAT DAMN PYRAMID.

The only notes I've found regarding the door are "The serpents can be awakened" and something about how the key mechanism for the door was lost and not easily retrievable. Am I just stupid, or do those not seem like very good hints?

Be as spoilery as you want, I don't care at this point.

Think back. Way back the first time you entered Sleet Island. Recall that guy sticking something in a tree? Might be worth one more look.

you use the special attack of the staff you get from completing the runemastery puzzle in the bog on the door.

I dont know if that is the correct way but it worked for me: shoot at the door with the special attack of the serpant staff (reward for solving the runemaster puzzle)

Oh my god, thank you. The serpent staff has just been collecting dust in a bag for half the game because I thought it was just a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ neutral-elemental magic attack.
