Horned Fruit giving stats?
So I noticed that my party gets random stats from horned fruits time to time. I got dex-str-will so far, so most likely its random and it can give vitality too. I heard that ratmans like cheese and has a similiar effect.

Is this means that insectoids like horned fruits then? I'm playing with 4 insectoid wizards..

I tried to savescum a bit for testing reasons, just to check if the stat rolled on eat or not, but I get the same stat after a couple tries always, so i guess those stats rolled at char creation.

If my theory is right, then probably every race has a favorite food, which gives perma stats for them?

ratlings - cheese
insectoids - horned fruit

Any1 knows the rest?

humans unknown, but minotaurs have no stat food, they have the skulls instead.
Also lizards have eggs as a stat food.

As you've guessed, some races can permanently gain a random stat bonus when eating certain food types. Horned Fruit for Insectoids, Turtle Eggs for Lizardmen and Cheese for Ratlings.

Humans and Minotaurs can't gain stat bonuses from food.

You can generally find these things by using the forum's search functionality. "horned fruit" as a search term would've found you the answers you were looking for right away.

In general u r right. But pls do me a favor, search for horned fruit, and check the dates. No information about this before oct 17, when I opened this topic. Since then other guys posted information about this, but not before :)

Actually the information was posted a long time before then, it's just that it only said "fruit" as opposed to "horned fruit".

This is kinda pointless and starting to get silly but.. well I did search for "fruit", and the earliest info is on oct 18 what is later then my post, since it is oct 17 :P

There was some information posted mid-day on the 17th, but even then you posted this thread a few hours before that one.
