SPOILERS IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO KNOW THE SOLUTION

tundras(north), Sun was setting(West), Looked home (back to the middle), star of the north(north) conitnued along the path (east, because it is towards the gate which is your path).

-SPOILER- SOLUTION TO THE PUZZLE

Yeah, what Tyrwin said is wrong. He doesn't go east, because that's the path YOU want to go, but not the guy in the story.

-First he goes NORTH towards the tundra,
-then he watches the sun set in the WEST.
-Then, he looks back home to the SOUTH.
-He then sees the star in the NORTH,
-so he continues on his path, which is NORTH.

So Up, Left, Down, Up, Up. (Or North, West, South, North, North)

Hope this help. Was stuck on this puzzle for quite some time, and it's not fun being unable to progress through what seems to already be a pretty huge game.

Do you go back to the blue one after each ?
Kikuchiyo Oct 16, 2014 @ 7:31am
Yes. The "North, West, South" ones are the red-glowing ones. You can't reach those without going back to the blue. Think of the red ones as 'buttons' you push by pushing the block ontop of it. So on the final part, you push the block to the northern square, then back to blue, and up again.

Wow this puzzle was really annoying and the first one that really had me get stuck ( so far).
I hate how they except us to know the sun sets in west despite not being on our planet also the fact that we are supposed to guess that it's hot in the south.

I think they thought too much earth like in this puzzle

There's a day/night cycle, you can actively WATCH the sun set in the west.

As for the desert, it specifically notes that he looks back at it, ie. the opposite of the direction he's going.

The entirety of the puzzle is solvable with in-game logic.

I know there is a daylight cycle but it's difficult to see much in the foggy graveyard. Also the sun/moon during resting make it seem like the sun would set in the east.

Then again neither of that matters since I somehow thought that the puzzle would have me push the blocks at different times during the day

You can't see the sun from the graveyard, but it's easily visible from the rest of the map.

What really bothered me about this puzzle was that the south part. I assumed I was supposed to look west because that's where the barren desert is.

I think this is a poor puzzle. The fact the clues are on three bits of paper suggest the combination is a set of 3 moves. The first one, Tundras and sun setting I saw as one clue - where in the game does it tell you he tundras are to the north? Or is it 'everything north is cold' type logic?
