D3DError - GetDeviceCaps failed: D3DERR_NOTAVAILABLE

Can anyone help? How do I fix this error?
D3DError - GetDeviceCaps failed: D3DERR_NOTAVAILABLE
It is appearing for Legend of Grimrock 1 and 2. I have played over 20 hours in each game and never experienced an issue before. I've even completed the first game. But this error is now appearing for some reason.

My PC specs are:
Windows 11 64 Bit. Intel i5-9400F. 2.90GHz
16.0 GB RAM
AMD Radeon RX 6600

So far I have attempted:
Running under administrator
Using different compatibility modes
Uninstalling and reinstalling both games
Graphics card update and repair
Direct X update
Windows update

If anyone has some advice, I'd appreciate it. Really fancied playing this game again, only to come across this issue.

It's win11 issue and 32-bit games on it

use wine emulator

Is your PC a laptop? This issue could raise if issues on intel integrated graphic kicks in.
If it is the case try updating that driver also.

Thank you all. I've managed to solve it. Or rather, I gave up and just did a pc reset. Whatever way you look at it, the decision worked LOL. I've kept all my steam files and saves. And the Grimrock games are now working. So mission accomplished...I guess? :) If it happens again though, I will tryout a wine emulator for my PC rather than a reset.
