Only $50?
Why do I see no threads about this? If it were to be $70 people would be making threads, but now they don't even want to talk about it and give a compliment for how fair of a price this is?

the lack of drama on pricing is a good thing in itself

Fair pricing, instantly bought complete edition. Unlike other greedy Japanese publisher like the recent EDF 6 from D3PUBLISHER asking 59,99€ for a two years old game and they still sell additional dlc's on top of that LMAO.

Pleasantly surprised about the pricing

Pricing is the same as FFVIIR but you can chose to pay for DLC or not that’s the only difference.

it didn't sell well and is still unoptimized on console. It's probably going to be a bit worse with denuvo as well

There've been some threads. Even one saying it should be more.

they're talking about the complete edition. no one is gonna buy the standard edition. everyone including me wants the expansions included!
Foulcher Aug 19, 2024 @ 4:39pm
We are already used to 70 price tag…that’s all. And if you want to compare to previous releases they were all complete edition without « base » edition.
So the pricing is the same.

FFXV was cheaper, the last DLC was separate but not released on any platform before.

Main reason is probably it's an old game. Vision of Mana and DQ3 have absurd price as usual. So SE probably changed the prices for late PC releases like this (and probably Rebirth).

They failed big time with FFVII Remake PC release and its 70 USD price tag. Not so many people bought that one on PC since it was a two years old game, and also that Epic deal debacle.

FFVIIR was also one of the first games at 70…now many games released at this price so (sadly ?) it’s less debated.
However FFVIIR was a complete edition.

They changed their model by separating the DLC probably because they stated that there will not be exclusive anymore. So PC versions will not be treated the same.

Because most people realize the price point is based on consumer demand. They aren't charging $50 out of the kindness of their hearts.

I mean the FULL game (with the DLC) is $70...if that makes you feel better. And this probably didn't have the same Budget as FF7R2

because the real price is 70 (complete edition)
TotemMX Aug 19, 2024 @ 5:43pm
$70 for the complete edition is right, but I was expecting a launch discount just like FFVIIR had.

I could also say that PS5 users had to shell out $69.99 or maybe even more for what now is $49.99. Now what?
