There've been some threads. Even one saying it should be more.
So the pricing is the same.
FFXV was cheaper, the last DLC was separate but not released on any platform before.
They failed big time with FFVII Remake PC release and its 70 USD price tag. Not so many people bought that one on PC since it was a two years old game, and also that Epic deal debacle.
FFVIIR was also one of the first games at 70…now many games released at this price so (sadly ?) it’s less debated.
However FFVIIR was a complete edition.
They changed their model by separating the DLC probably because they stated that there will not be exclusive anymore. So PC versions will not be treated the same.
I mean the FULL game (with the DLC) is $70...if that makes you feel better. And this probably didn't have the same Budget as FF7R2
