Bad optimization
Worst optimization I've ever seen! literally the game seems stuck at 30 fps, even changing the quality from ultra to low, and the worst thing is that setting it to low leaves the game in slow ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ motion! When switching from ultra to medium there is no sudden change, it continues with the stuttering, and the funniest thing is that the game stays at 60+ fps just using one of those super resolution options.

Honestly, the title of this topic is truth. Even Elden Ring has better optimization.
On 3080 1440p, is impossible to reach 60fps stable without using upscalers.
The sharpness button on the dlss/dlaa does not work. DLSS Quality has a serious problem on distant objects or walls losing much video definition, worst implementation dlss ever seen.
If this was a game like Alan wake 2, my advice would be fsr3 native + FG but adds too much lag (test with Reflex+boost), and it is not good in an action game.
Even with Upscaler, intermittent stuttering. I will also try to block the game 60fps

And the funniest thing is that it's not even using much of the processor or even my video card, what the hell optimization is this? (Not even 60% of vram is being used, and 50% of the pc's ram...)

These topics are meaningless unless you list your specs.

Anyone elses just hangs in parts like its trying to load massive things then just jumps right back to its normal speed? Cause im hitting solid 60 with everything at max and DLSS turned off, so I know its not my rig (and yes, its on a SSD). Ive been watching the performances and im not even hitting 60% of my processor or ram and my HDD is never even coming close to being hit hard, so I have no idea where this would be coming from.

yes it is

"meaningless! lmao, literally my pc runs most games in high and full hd and at 60fps, only games on the U5 that I use on medium configuration... And this game is not made on it. I have a gtx 1660 and a i5 8400. And look, there are people with a much better setup than mine and they are having worse problems (they are not even able to enter the game)

I'm wondering if this is the recent Intel issue.

same I'm also using my M2 NV SSD

The cinematics are pre-rendered. That is why it's stuck at 30FPS sometimes.

Thing is, FF XVI pushed the limits of the PS5, and going by your specs, it doesn't reach that of a PS5, so yes, your performance is going to suffer. Namely, your graphics card is a bit dated and I think that's the big contributor of your problem.

That GPU is antiquated. I have 5700XT, considerably better than yours, and I wouldn't expect this game to run well at full settings; it'd be an unreasonable expectation.

it goes above 100fps when the game actually uses the damn CPU cores like in combat.

out of battle traversal is heavily GPU dependent. my CPU is so idle it down-clocks to base speed lol

i mean its a FF PC port what did we really expect

Look, you cannot just take a GPU from the 16th century and yell "poor optimization!" when it doesn't run a new triple-A game.

I wonder why you're having problems... 🤔

Do tell, what's the last new release you played. Because "High and 60fps in most games" seems like a VERY bold claim. My bad, only seems like you play older games your card can actually handle. 🤣
