Considering this is what makes up the majority of the game this is a massive ♥♥♥♥♥♥
But I bet they will never do that.
It's a shame what Final Fantasy has become. I haven't enjoyed a single entry since XII.
I can't fathom a reason why on PS5 with SSD they couldn't make them in engine other than it being too hard to fine tune performance but a lot of cutscenes is just people talking in closed rooms so i dunno, it just feels it was faster for them to develop and they never bothered refining it.
Not moving them back in-engine for PC is a bad move tbh.
The only pre rendered cutscenes are ones that wouldnt run well in real time on the ps5.
AKA the army fight in the opening. Or a later scene with Odin splitting the ocean.
Just a lot of people here spreading misinformation.
No? If you have FPS counter enable, you can tell most of the cutscenes are pre-rendered, because it will be 30fps.
From what I've seen, most of the scenes are pre-rendered, including small talks and scenes that shouldn't eat much of my PC resources.
One of the worst ports I've seen in my entire life.
