Game ran fine for first 8 hours and now randomly dropping to sub 20 fps after a few minutes of play?
Has anyone else experienced this? All of a sudden fps is just tanking after playing for a few minutes. Even if I'm just in a menu screen it's stuck at 25-27fps?

Restarting game helps and then a few minutes later it's messed up again.

This happened after getting second Eikon. People are saying it's related to swapping Eikon abilities, I've yet to test that.

Not sure if related, but after about 12hrs, I'm now randomly seeing my fps go from 120 to 60 almost instantly after playing for a bit. Restarting fixes it, but no idea the cause.

I'm having same issue, first 6 hours was perfect, until the game decide to not use PC resource anymore.
I monitored my pc resources for few sessions, temperature never went above 75 degree, no bottleneck, no overload at all. After fps drop, CPU and GPU went down like its sleeping.

Heard this mod helps other people but with different issues.

Haven't tried myself yet, but if you can now, please let me know.

Mods won't fix this.

Nothing found so far does.

Lots of other people are having this issue.

I'm on a 13900k, 4070ti, 64 gigs at 6800, on a decent m.2, bios uo to date with all drivers up to date (also tested with older ones too). it happens randomly. Sometimes mid fight, sometimes after cutscenes, sometimes even when paused/in menus, and the only fix is a complete game restart. Sometimes you can get an hour out of it before it happens, sometimes it's 5 minutes.

Recompiling shaders does nothing.
Mods do nothing
Settings do nothing.

Cpu and gpu look fine, utilization and temps, then it just acts like there's a forced fps cap that's randomly applied and it all tanks and locks at 30 or less aftter running and holding 120 (locked) just fine.

I've tried every setting you can imagine from 4k down to 1080p, with and without mods.

I just did a fresh install on a brand new and tested m.2. Same results.

There's def a problem, as there's a handful of threads talking about it, with no solution identified.

Edit: the 13900k is also brand new and was replaced after the 0x125 update, and has been updated to the 0x129, along with ME being kept up to date as well, so it's not damaged.

It could be a driver issue or the game might need a patch. It literally just released on PC and typically, QA get ignored if there's QA at all unless it's game-breaking on a common test rig and even then...

It's acting like a memory leak without any signs or symptoms of one.

The utilization doesn't creep and still, it just flat out goes from absolutely fine to cutting fps to nothing like it's capped and barely touching the gpu/cpu. It's really really weird.

It also isn't predictively reproducible. It just happens at total random.

SO you the only one in the entire world that gets this so called memory leak. I highly doubt it. IF you have an issue with memory its on your PC.Malware or something.

But im not, hence all the other threads, along with that's not at all what I said, so reading comprehension clearly isn't your forte.

Go troll elsewhere kiddo, we are trying to isolate the problem here. You demonstrably know nothing and dont even own the game.

Kindly gfys.

I'm experiencing this too, from what I've noticed it always happens during a cutscene and then afterwards my gameplay performance tanks. I was thinking that it was due to my lack of VRAM, but since other people with better specs are having the same issues, it must be a game issue.

I have to restart after a few hours to fix it, before it happens again.

It happened again after a quick cutscene, so to see if I could reproduce it, I restarted and loaded back before the cutscene and it sure enough didn't happen the second time. So strange. Normally I get a smooth 120fps no issues, but it'll randomly drop to 40-60 for seemingly no reason.

Same, i was playing perfectly fine, and then suddenly i can't reach even 30 fps and the main menu runs at 10.

It'd be tolerable if it only happened every few hours. I get it anywhere between almost instantly to 2 hours, more often than not I get approx 10 minutes between starting and needing a restart. Worked fine until the Garuda fight, then went to crap.

The game has memory leak issues; the longer you play, the fps will drop. Restarting it is the only fix, and the Lostwing area has some issues too. If you fast travel to that area, fps will drop significantly.
Shadowlet Sep 18, 2024 @ 8:44pm
After a few hours this happens to me and I have to restart my whole PC, the game alone won't be enough.

It doesn't though, if it did you would see utilization creep, or spikes when it happens very quickly from starting the gameand that isn't the case. It's something else.
