FPS tanking in Lostwing after saving the town
Game runs pretty alright everywhere else but the second Lostwing was saved, all the npcs showed up and the fire were lit the fps started to tank and GPU and CPU usage shoots up

Same. This exact problem. Also, even before my FPS tanked, I noticed it wasn't great, on my 3080 it was barely holding above 60. Graphics aren't good enough for the performance problems the game has. Also noticed quite a bit of stuttering throughout the initial phases of the game. It's odd to me, the demo was way more stable than the final cut of the PC port.

I just made a post about this. Try switching Super Resolution under the Graphics Setting to "Legacy". I was having the same issues with a few fights tanking my FPS really badly, but this seems to have fixed my issues after replaying the same encounters.

Cheers mate, this restored it to my 60-72 FPS average pre Lostwing. Looks worse, but hey, less stuttering and no sub 60 FPS for the moment.

I played around with it some more, and I managed to get it to stabilise at 80 on ultra graphics, but the settings are because I have a mixed AMD/Nvidia system. that 3D cache on the 5800x3D seems to be helping me.

Super Resolution: AMD FSR 3
Dynamic Resolution: On
AMD FSR 3 Frame Generation: On
Nvidia Reflex Low Latency: Enabled + Boost
Variable Rate Shading: On

All graphical quality sliders and settings set to on or max

Weirdly enough, setting mine to Legacy had the same poor results. FSR3 cleaned it up though. The mixed results people are getting is wild.

3080 hits vram limits at 4k then performance tanks, I had the same issues with the demo.
I made a custom resolution of 3200x1800p and used DLSS balance, works great this way and looks much better than 1440p + DLSS quality.

My FPS shot down in the town too, but I walked away from the game for a bit and when I came back it was back to normal, more or less. It's gotta' be loading stuff improperly or something.

Had the same problem in Lostwing too. Looks like a memory leak. Vanished when I restarted the game.

That's good to know, I'll have to give FSR 3 a shot. Whatever looks the best while still running smoothly enough! Some of the fights were borderline unplayable before.

Runs at 150+ fps all the time. Upgrade your outdated PC

That was me, and I wasn't complaining about 80 FPS on ultra, I was saying I finally stabilised it at 80 on ultra after I was having issues barely being able to maintain 45-60. So no, you didn't read it right.
