Frame rate collapse in
garuda mode

Seems if in garuda mode my frame rate will drop from 70-80 to 10-20 and wont fix itself til i reset
Tested on a dummy using no skills just the grabby and, while not immediate, eventually after a few minutes frame rate will get stuck...
even cutscenes stop playing at 30 ^~^
Changing graphics changes nothing, changing monitor hz does nothing.
Very low GPU usage.
Have latest nvidia drivers but was happening before too
Wasn't a problem in demo.

Anyone else come across this?

What's your GPU? I have an RX 6600 and the game loves VRAM. It'll cripple your FPS if it takes enough.

You say you lowered your settings but you should try the same load zones on a reset with new settings.

ahh fair point
4070
cpu is 5800x3d

and i mean... it's always just if i use garuda otherwise it doesn't do that...
but maybe if i had lower settings it would take longer for the problem to occur? ;o i should try this...

Edit: so trying it with low preset garuda form will still eventually cause my frames to collapse into the 10-20 zone until game reset...

Interesting. I played through the second half of the demo with my tweaked settings and I never got into the 20FPS range again.

I'm playing this on a 4070/5800X3D/32GB/Gen4 NvME system myself and its been pretty smooth so far.

I'm playing at 4K, DLSS balanced, frame gen off and blur set to 0, everything else is maxed and adaptive scaling is turned off. I'm getting a solid 60fps outside of cut scenes, with the rare dip to 50ish every so often. Have you tried recompiling shaders?

I have tried recompiling shaders, and i have tried verifying integrity and i have tried redownloading the game.

And on further experimentation it occurs after cycling any eikon (pressing left trigger/tab), more specifically it occurs 1 minute and 56ish seconds consistently after eikon cycling.

So it would seem my only recourse is to... pick an eikon, save game, and then load the game and then never ever switch from that one eikon

I have the same problem with an RTX 4090. I know about the bottleneck on my CPU, but up until that one point everything was running smoothly. After that I only had 20-35 FPS. And the game continued to run like that. Had to restart to fix it.

The FPS drop always happens at the same point or when you switch back and forth between your summons.
